Kelly Harris (the ORIGINAL Master Detailer) focuses on massively improving your technical skills and knowledge across the detailing spectrum, up to the most advanced levels. This is four full days of hands-on tuition, and with Kelly’s guidance (and 30+ years of experience in the detailing industry, engineering and R&D qualifications to back it up) you will advance your understanding and abilities further than you realise is possible. Many former pupils have gone on to have successful detailing businesses of their own, all around the world, with Kelly’s Master Detailing course as their starting point.
From 2021, the Master Detailer course will be provided with support from Lake Country Manufacturing and LC Power tools – for whom Kelly is proud to be the Global Director of Training.

- Understanding paint technology and types of clearcoat

- Machine polishing techniques using a ‘DA’
- Advanced machine polishing, including rotary and mini machines
- Polishing assessment and understanding ‘fake’ vs ‘true’ correction
- How to get the best from waxes and sealants
- Nano-coatings / ceramic-coatings: how to apply them and what to expect
- Interior detailing methods
- Glass cleaning and treatments
- Exhaust / chrome treatments
- Trim treatments
- Wheels: how to clean safely and protect properly
- Wet sanding (by hand and machine): achieving the ultimate mirror finish, plus texture matching
- Stone chip repair (simple touch ins vs. built up/lacquered/sanded)
- Glass scratch removal
- Leather colouring
- Aftercare guidance
- Vehicle handover (if appropriate)
